Khabib talks to his father with gestures by holding his hands in hospital

Last month, Khabib Nurmagomedov, the UFC lightweight champion confirmed that his father,  Abdulmanap was suffering from Covid-19. Today, igorkakdela, a reporter has posted a video on Instagram where Khabib gives a health update on his father's health condition. 

Khabib said that his father has recovered from the Coronavirus and his father is COVID free now. Though Khabib's father is free from Coronavirus, his father's health condition is still serious because of kidneys and heart damage caused by coronavirus infection, Khabib added. 

Khabib also said that his father cannot talk at the moment because of the medical equipment remains hooked around him. Khabib said he is visiting his father every day and his father recognizes him and he spends half an hour with him, talks to his father with gestures by holding his hands. 

Khabib is confident that the doctor's treatment will definitely help to recover this father's health condition. He thanked doctors for whatever they are doing. He said, everything is very good at the moment but, it just takes time, because of the Coronavirus consequences are very difficult and the rehabilitation period will be difficult and long. 

He also said that he is training every day for his upcoming fight against Justin Gaethje as his father doesn't like skipping the training sessions because of his father's health condition. His father wants him to be in good shape and continue to train every day to get ready for defending his UFC lightweight championship title in September. 

Background: 

In late April, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov was first admitted to the hospital in Dagestan due to Pneumonia. Later he was shifted to another hospital in Moscow as his health condition is deteriorating day by day and later, it was reported that he is in a coma. 

In mid-May, it was reported that Khabib's father, Abdulmanap has woke up from medically induced coma after complications from pneumonia which led to heart surgery.

In early June, it was reported that Khabib's father has opened his eyes and he was responding. Khabib's manager, Ali Abdelaziz said Khabib's health condition is improving and it is progressing. Khabib said that his father's condition was still serious. Today's update is the latest news on Khabib's father's health condition.
