WWE Backlash 2020 Results

WWE Backlash just caught the attention of the whole wrestling universe with the greatest wrestling match ever. Did Drew McIntyre survive the wrath of Bobby Lashley? Did Edge make it up against Randy Orton? Let's find out.

Drew McIntyre vs Bobby Lashley

The Scottish Psychopath Drew McIntyre defended his WWE Championship against the Almighty Bobby Lashley who was joined by MVP.

Drew McIntyre slayed the beast at Wrestlemania to capture the WWE Championship and he successfully defended it against BigShow and Seth Rollins. Bobby Lashley seemed to be a big threat to Drew McIntyre. But, Everything ended with a Claymore kick.

This match ended in a segment where Lana spoiled Bobby Lashley's dominance which continued from the start of the match. Drew McIntyre already asked Bobby Lashley to show his best version keeping away his marital issues which couldn't happen this time.

After what happened at Backlash, There could be another divorce segment and a rematch between Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley at SummerSlam or other pay per view

Braun Strowman vs The Miz and John Morrison

Braun Strowman successfully defended his Universal Championship against the Miz and Morrison in a two on one handicapped match.

This match was a great challenge to the Monster amongst men as it's a handicapped match and Braun Strowman is not at the fittest in similar matches. However, Braun Strwoman survived the wrath of both Miz and Morrison.

The match seemed to end the reign of Monster when Miz and Morrison hit a skull crushing finale and a stomp. Morrison was likely to be the new universal champion. But, Miz didn't let his friend pin the monster which led Braun Strowman to quickly end the match.

Winner : Braun Strowman

Asuka vs Nia Jax

The Empress of tomorrow successfully defended her RAW Women’s Championship against the irresistible force, Nia Jax.

Asuka won the Money in the bank briefcase and it was later revealed by Becky Lynch that the briefcase contained Raw Women's Championship itself. Nia Jax earned the opportunity to face Asuka by defeating Charlotte Flair and Natalya in a triple threat match.

This match was more personal for Asuka as Nia Jax brutalised Asuka’s best friend, Kaire Sane earlier. During the match, Asuka showed a slight dominance over the irresistible force despite the size advantage of Nia.

The match ran all the way which ended up outside the ring in a double count out. However, Champion advantage prevailed in this match and Asuka is still your Raw Women's Champion.

With Controversial victory at Backlash, Asuka may depend her title against Nia Jax at extreme rules.

Edge vs Randy Orton
Edge and Randy Orton battled in a straight up wrestling match at WWE Backlash which was dubbed as the greatest wrestling match ever.

The voice of Howard Finkel, Rock Bottom, artificial crowd cheer up, Pedigree, Classic retro, different camera angles, and many more took place in the match.This match really would be one of the greatest matches in history.

But, The Rated-R Superstar couldn't make it up against The Viper at Backlash.

From the start of the match, Both Edge and Randy Orton hit some signatures. Both survived the hard hitting wrath of others and Edge proved that he is still the best despite his loss against Randy Orton.

The match was not in favour of anyone as both of the athletes showed extreme dominance which ended when Randy Orton went for a blind low blow which the referee couldn't see.

After the match, Randy Orton spoke to Edge saying to go back to home. Everyone thought that Edge might need a stretcher. But, Edge stood tall even after the match. This victory may lead to a trilogy bout at SummerSlam or other pay per view.

Jeff Hardy vs Sheamus

The match between Jeff Hardy and Sheamus was really a personal one because of the past things. The Celtic Warrior has been targeting Jeff Hardy since his return.

Jeff Hardy defeated Sheamus earlier in the intercontinental championship tournament. Jeff Hardy was scheduled to advance the tournament but the storyline led Jeff Hardy to meet an accident and withdraw the tournament turning back his rivalry with Sheamus.

On a recent episode of Smackdown live, Sheamus hesitated to fight Jeff Hardy claiming that he was over drunk and a drug addict. Sheamus asked for the urine sample and Jeff Hardy passed the test Jeff Hardy threw the urine sample on Sheamus’s face which made this match a personal one.

This match was a bit against Jeff Hardy which led Sheamus to capitalize and secure a victory against Jeff Hardy. This is not the end of the segment, there could be against possible pay per view waiting for the rematch and for the redemption.

Sasha Banks & Bayley vs The IIconics vs Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross

The Boss n hug connection comprising Smackdown women's champion Bayley and Sasha Banks successfully defended their tag team championships against the IIconics and Team Bliss.

Bayley and Sasha Banks earned the titles by defeating Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross and they made it in the first round of defence proving their friendship

Now, Bayley and Sasha Banks, The winners of Backlash are set to defend their WWE tag team championships against Tegan Nox and Shotzi blackheart.

Apollo Crews vs Andrade

Apollo Crews has successfully defended his United States Championship against Andrade.

Apollo Crews recently defeated Andrade to win the United States Championship and he successfully defended it against Kevin Owens. Now, Andrade joins Apollo Crews' resume. This match was officially announced when Andrade pinned his friend, Angel Garza in a triple threat match to gain a match against Apollo Crews.

At Backlash, Angel Garza tried to help Andrade which was stopped by Kevin Owens. Apollo Crews finally proved that his previous win over Andrade was not by luck.

This is leading to a good time for Apollo Crews in WWE.
