Fight Island location revealed and major fights announced for UFC 251

Finally, A long awaited puzzle has been uncovered. The exact location for the fight island has been recently revealed by the officials of UFC.

In one of his recent interviews, The President of UFC announced the location of fight island. Dana White announced that the Fight Island is Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

Many loyal fans are very upset with this announcement. Many people imagined that it would be an island of some kind shown in the movies which are full of greenery. 

The president of UFC also announced a few match cards for the July 11 fight at the fight island.

As earlier predicted, Dana White announced a welterweight fight between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns for the welterweight championship. This would be the headline card for the event.

Gilbert Burns jumped to the number one spot after defeating former welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley at Fight Night and holding a record of six fight win streak. It was already predicted by everyone that Burns would be the next one to step foot for the title opportunity and Dana White officially made it.

UFC featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski is scheduled to face Max Holloway in a rematch. This fight would serve as the co-headliner.

Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway met at the Octagon last December where Alexander Volkanovski had an upper hand by a unanimous decision giving Holloway his first loss at featherweight since 2013.

Last but not least, There would be a main event deserving fight between Petr Yan and Jose Aldo for the vacant BantamWeight Championship.

Henry Cejudo relinquished the bantamweight championship at UFC 249 and Petr Yan made a front line to take up his duties. While the challenger for Yan was decided lately. Jose Aldo made his way by closing all ways to the top contenders.

UFC 251 will also include fights between Jessica Andrade and Rose Namajunas. Standing a chance, Amanda Ribas will face Paige VanZant.
