Panamanian Boxing legend Roberto Duran tests COVID positive

The 69-year-old Panamanian Boxing legend Roberto Duran contacted the Deadly COVID and is reported to be under medical attention.

Robin Duran, Son of Roberto Duran recently announced on social media that his dad was admitted in hospital due to respiratory problems which was later busted as COVID. Boxing universe is so sad to hear the news and every boxing fan is standing by the side of Roberto Duran.

Former quadra class champion was a victim of a road accident which took place in 2001 and that impact is serious for now. That road accident also caused Roberto Duran to leave his favourite sport.

Robin Duran stated on Instagram that his father has tested positive. Robin Duran also informed that his father doesn't have symptoms beyond a cold. Further Robin provided that his father is neither in intensive care nor on a respirator.

Roberto Duran is just under observation and his son thanked God for keeping him safe. Robin Duran said that they will be passing on more information over the days.

Roberto Duran was one of few boxers who have achieved everything in the ring. The hands of Stone held world championships in four weight classes and it is said to be a record of some kind during those times.

If You didn't know, Roberto Duran is the second boxer to over a span of five decades following Jack Johnson. Roberto Duran's hard hitting skills and punching power earned him the nickname of Manos de Piedra.

After kicking some hundred of asses, Roberto Duran finally retired at age of fifty after a deadly road accident which happened in Argentina. Roberto Duran tried to promote his salsa music CD and travelled to Argentina where he met with a car crash.

Panama land has the most confirmed COVID cases and deaths in Central America. According to recent reports, Panama crossed a thousand cases in a single day. The Panama nation has more than twenty nine thousand confirmed cases with more than thirteen thousand active ones.
