The reason behind Jake Hager's presence in the Inner Circle

The Inner Circle is one of the dominant factions in entire wrestling history led by the most successful wrestler of all time, Chris Jericho. Sammy Guevera, Jack Hager, Santana and Ortiz are also part of the Inner circle leading them to have the number advantage.

Chris Jericho has a lot of experience in the ring which makes him the leader of Inner Circle. Also, A young athlete like Sammy Guevara and the deadly duo of Santana and Ortiz makes Inner Circle more powerful.

But, The actual powerhouse of the Inner Circle is Jack Hager who previously worked for WWE and later joined mixed martial arts. Did anyone wonder how the big monster, Jack Hager joined the brand of Chris Jericho.

Well, The first AEW World Champion explained it in his Talk Is Jericho podcast. In one of his recent editions of talk is Jericho, The master of Judas effect revealed how the big guy joined the Inner Circle.

Chris Jericho revealed that the hottest wrestling promotion wanted to have Anthony Ogogo in the Inner Circle which Jericho didn’t like.

If you didn't know, Anthony Ogogo is a former boxer with a record of eleven wins and one loss. Anthony Ogogo is currently signed to AEW where he is a developmental wrestler.

Chris Jericho said the final ingredient in making the Inner Circle was Jake Hager. Chris Jericho and Jake Hager worked together many times in WWE which led Chris Jericho to choose Jake over Anthony Ogogo.

Chris Jericho revealed the reason for choosing Jake Hager by saying that they both were training in a gym owned by Dave Batista. At that point, Chris Jericho inquired whether Jake was interested in wrestling or will make a complete shift to MMA.

Chris Jericho revealed that AEW had an idea of choosing Anthony Ogogo which he refused because Anthony Ogogo was not a complete wrestler and didn't even have a wrestling match at that time.

Chris Jericho enquired AEW, The height of Anthony Ogogo and he came to know that Anthony was 5’11”. Chris Jericho said to AEW that he wanted a big guy and immediately the name of Jake Hager hit his mind. Chris Jericho approached Tony Khan and put his plan. This is how Jake Hager joined Inner Circle.

Currently, The Inner Circle is engaged in a feud with Mike Tyson, Henry Cejudo and a few other MMA fighters. Chris Jericho challenged Mike Tyson for a fight and there will be a possible fight between Chris Jericho and Mike Tyson in neat future.
