What a way to finish June. UFC on ESPN: Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker fired the things in the lightweight division which finally ended when the Diamond stood tall. Also, Next month, Fight Island will be live. Without further talk let's move to the results section. 

Dustin Poirier vs Dan Hooker

The Diamond Dustin Poirier returned to UFC after a gap of almost nine months and in his returning match, Dustin Poirier stood tall over the Hangman via unanimous decision.

What's next for the Diamond? Tony Ferguson or the winner of the Unifier bout? No. Not anyone. Poirier wants a break and he announced that his next fight would be at the end of the year or next year.

If things are alright and if Dustin Poirier gets a good call, we may finally see Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Dustin Poirier 2 by the end of next year.

On the other hand, Dan Hooker also did a great job in this fight. The Hangman couldn't make it to the upper ranked one but he learned a new experience on how the real fights go.

Mike Perry vs Mickey Gall

The co-headliner of UFC on ESPN Poirier vs Hooker featured a welterweight match between Mike Perry and Mickey Gall.

Mike Perry who is undergoing some booms and depressions in his professional career bounced back from that and showed what he is against Mickey Gall, who has a worse resume.

The platinum was able to show his dominance over a man who has a record of (6-22) in MMA but that doesn't make him to boast off his victory. There are still many challenges waiting for Perry and he should overcome them to be at the top level.

Brendan Allen vs Kyle Daukaus

Brendan Allen, who is coming off a six-fight win streak, faced Kyle Daukaus, who just debuted in the top brand. The middleweight bout gave a big experience to new talent, and it ripped his undefeated status.

Kyle Daukaus' skills and superiority didn't work before the budding talent of UFC and Brendan Allen secured a three-fight streak in UFC making him undefeated in the top brand.

Maurice Greene vs Gian Villante

The crochet boss faced Gian Villante in a heavyweight bout and he squashed the latter one to secure a victory following his two back to back losses.

From the beginning of the match, Both giants showed their dominance and it seemed to end with a decision until the crochet boss' bizarre choke. At the final moment when things are favouring Gian, Greene held a triangular arm choke making him stand tall.

Philipe Lins vs. Tanner Boser

The 6'2" Monstro Philipe Lins faced the bulldozer, Tanner Boser, in the first heavyweight main card bout of the Night.

Philipe Lins, who has an upper hand over Tanner Boser in every aspect couldn't make it against Tanner Boser this time. Lins' quickness didn't save him from the bulldozer's offense and defense ending the match at first round via TKO

Sean Woodson vs Julian Erosa
The first main event card of the fight night began with a catchweight match between Sean Woodson and Julian Erosa.

The Juicy J who has a higher profile and hitting rates than Sean Woodson secured a victory in this match via a D'Arce choke in the third round giving Woodson the first loss.

Winner: Julian Erosa
