Dana White states that O’Malley needs to have some more fights before taking down Garbrandt

The Bantamweight division bounced back at UFC 250 in the form of Sean O’Malley and Cody Garbrandt.

Sean O’Malley caught the attention of the whole world by his impressive performance over Eddie Wineland. The Sugar defeated the former WEC Bantamweight champion in under two minutes giving him the main event spotlight.

Cody Garbrandt bounced back at UFC 250 after his three consecutive losses. The No Love knocked out Raphael Assuncao in round two.

After showing some incredible dominance, Sean and Cody began a feud that is still in making. After gaining the performance of the Night, The Young, Sean O’Malley seemed to get his hands on bigger opponents and challenged Cody Garbrandt.

Sean O’Malley stated that he is confident to knock Cody. Before completely getting on the fight topic, O’Malley first praised his subject for his impressive victory over Raphael Assuncao. O’Malley thinks that Garbrandt is more improved and calculated.

O’Malley, who had issues with USADA, is confident to take down the best version of Cody. O’Malley feels calculated than No Love and seems to top the Bantamweight rankings.

Garbrandt is not a simple opponent for the young talent. But, The Sugar thinks that it's a win-win situation for him against No Love. O’Malley explained the case. The Sugar thinks that he may just knock down or get knocked out in the hands of Cody which is not a big achievement for No Love. So, It's a lose-lose situation for Cody.

Sean O’Malley also stated that UFC will not be interested in this fight.

Cody Garbrandt responded to the challenge of Sugar and No Love thinks that O’Malley is not a worthy opponent for him. Dana White agreed with Garbrandt and he too thinks that it is not worthy to put a top 5 contender against a guy who just entered the rankings.

In one of his recent conversations, UFC president Dana White spoke about the Bantamweight division and stated about the current situation between Sugar and No Love.

Dana White thinks O’Malley is still a kid who didn't attain such maturity to be the top guy of the sport. White reminded that O’Malley is away from the sport for a couple of years due to his issues with USADA.

O’Malley just came back and Dana White thinks that Sugar needs to still achieve more in his career to face one of the top contenders. Dana White said O’Malley needs to fight ranked opponents before he gets his hands on Cody.

Dana White explained the reason for that. Only a few fighters achieve Top Five status and the fighters need to be wiser to achieve that. Dana White knows the strength of Sean O’Malley and he is afraid of seeing O’Malley in the top by defeating No Love. Only a wiser one needs to be at top and Sean is still a young guy.

Everyone thought to see a rivalry between Cody Garbrandt and Sean O’Malley which was spoiled by the officials. What do you think about White’s comments? Is Sean O’Malley worthy and wiser to face a top-ranked contender?
