UFC 249 is one day from today and everone are waiting eagerly for the return of octagon. But a sudden news shocked everyone out in the world ahead of UFC 249. The biggest nightmare surrounding UFC 249 has become a reality. Recently it was announced that a fighter of UFC tested positive for COVID-19.

It was recently announced that Ronaldo Souza is tested for COVID-19. Ronaldo Souza was scheduled to fight Uriah Hall in a middleweight bout at UFC 249. But now it was announced that this fight will be cancelled, But, UFC 249 will continue with high measures and precautions.

Hunter Campbell, the executive vice president and chief business officer of UFC, announced that UFC received clearance to move forward with current UFC 249 schedule by Florida State Athletic Commission. A atatement was later released by UFC stating twoThe UFC later issued a statement announcing that two of Ronaldo Souza’s cornermen also tested positive for coronavirus. All other fighters tested negative.

The statement released by UFC stated that Souza and his two cornermen currently tested positive. and they also mentioned that these guys have lefe the host hotel and will be self-isolating off premises, They alos mentioned that UFC health staff will montor them remotely.

Ronaldo Souza informed UFC officials that one of his family member had tested positive for COVID-19 when he arrived in Jacksonville. A deleted video by Fabricio Werdum which was already caught by media showed ROnaldo Souza was close to many players. however he was wearing a mask when he met Uriah Hall.

Now this foight was cancelled for second time. They were first scheduled to fight on April 18 which was scrapped. Uriah Hall was shocked to hear the sad news. But, Uriah Hall made a class act of wishing Ronaldo Souza for a fast recovery. Uriah Hall said he know how it sucks at this time. Uriah Hall felt sad to hear this and Hall said he missed a great oppurtunity. He wished a fast recovery of Ronaldo and his family.

With Uriah Hall (15-9 MMA, 8-7 UFC) vs. Ronalso Souza (26-8 MMA, 9-5 UFC) off, UFC will continue with 11 other bouts in their hand. UFC 249 will take place later tonight which takes place at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville.
