Triple C reveals Pinnacle moment of his MMA career after relinquishing the title

Henry Cejudo, The undisputed bantamweight champion made a stunning impression in his final match at UFC 249. In the returning of the octagon, UFC 249 gave what fans deserved. The main event of UFC 249 was stolen by Justin Gaethje and Henry Cejudo also took some share in it by dominating the dominator, Dominick Cruz. The co-headliner of UFC 249 was absolutely impressive.


The Messenger, Henry Cejudo relinquished the bantamweight belt after successfully defending it against Dominick Cruz. After relinquishing the title, Henry Cejudo spoke with media backstage and revealed the Pinnacle moment of his UFC career.


At the backstage of VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, The 33 years old revealed his best career moment in UFC. Henry Cejudo said there are many great moments in his career but the best moment for him is defeating Demetrious Johnson. Henry Cejudo said it was his pinnacle moment even many people think that victory was a controversy.


Henry Cejudo who once lost to the Mighty Mouse making one of the two losses in his resume later bounced back to defeat Johnson. Henry Cejudo and Demetrious Johnson first met at UFC 197 back in April 2016. Demetrious Johnson had the upper hand at their first sight. But, The Messenger eventually learned many things worked a lot to defeat Johnson in his second meeting at UFC 227 which happened in August 2018.


In the second match, Henry Cejudo couldn't show the dominant side. However, he matched up to Demetrious Johnson and had the taste of victory. This was, however, a controversial victory where the scores were 48-47, 47-48, 48-47 which was far better from the first meeting where Cejudo lost via first-round KO.


Henry Cejudo agreed on the fact that it's a razor-thin victory. But, getting a victory over the person he thinks the best is something else. Henry Cejudo said that he will take that razor-thin victory because Demetrious Johnson is a very special athlete, a very special mixed martial artist. the Triple C also said Demetrious Johnson is the best mixed martial artist in his view.


Now the triple C is retired from MMA and there are new plans for the bantamweight title. Dana White admitted that he wasn’t expecting Henry Cejudo to retire after his fight, but he knows Cejudo was planning for retirement. Henry Cejudo’s retirement announcement gives new faces of bantamweight contenders. Marlon Moraes and Aljamain Sterling have high chances to engage in a fight for the vacant title against Petr Yan. Petr Yan will be involved in the title fight with some unknown opponent.
