Lyman Good became the first active UFC player to announce positive for COVID 19. Good lives in New Jersey and trains in New York. Both places are hotspots for the ongoing pandemic and he was attacked by the novel devil. Good shocked everyone in the world by revealing the unprecedented news. He announced that he lied about his injury. There was no injury, rather it was actually because he tested positive for COVID 19.

Good said that as soon as he found out, he let everybody know. It was one of those things where it wasn’t sinking in that it could’ve been that. Fighters are hardwired to train through everything. If they catch cold or little nagging injuries here or there, they are trained to just pretty much fight through it. Good said that at first, he thought it was that. But there was just one day where it was bad. He said from that day, his body wasn’t listening, it wasn’t responding the way it normally does.

Lyman said the worst of his symptoms lasted for a week. He revealed that he was not hospitalized and both his girlfriend and coach tested positive. Lyman informed his camp about this and he was self quarantined to prevent the spread of this virus.

He spoke about this by saying that the major contributing factor to his decision of quarantine was the safety of the people around him. He cared about everyone around him, his coaches, neighbors, relatives and everyone else. He said that he thought there was a possibility that he had it, and stayed alone for the safety of his coaches, teammates, family and everybody else.

Good felt concerned for all others. He said that God forbid they get it, they spread it, and someone else gets sick really bad. He said that he will feel responsible for that. He said that he didn't reveal it until now because he didn’t want to feed into any hysteria about the virus.

New said he didn’t want to feed into the fear, the imminent fear that’s going on in society right now. There’s a pandemic, it is a real thing happening, Lyman didn’t want to stoke the flames, so to speak, and influence the fear factor of other people. Good said that he just wants to let everyone know he is much better now. At the end of the day, it was a risk that we were willing to take. He continued by saying that As a fighter, he knew what the risks were. Unfortunately, it is what it is. It happened. He said that he feels a hundred percent now and he's in a full recovery.

Lyman Good took a part in helping others. He said that he is participating in a program to donate his antibodies to the Red Cross in hopes of helping others to survive this situation. Nearly one lakh seventy thousand people ( in records) were dead because of this unprecedented foe.

Lyman said that people's mind is thinking only in a dimension. “Unfortunately, a lot of people aren’t surviving this thing”. He said that this statement was false and he survived the crisis. He said that he wants to take this negative and try to turn it into a positive one. He also revealed that he is coming back to UFC very soon. He said that he has some unfinished business there and is going to complete it.
