Khabib Nurmagomedov's father passes away after a long battle with COVID 19 related complications

Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, the father of Khabib Nurmagomedov, has passed away after a long battle with COVID 19 related complications. First the news was reported on Russian media channel named Life.

Every MMA fan is expressing their condolences for Nurmagomedov's family right now.

Chronology of events
During late April, Khabib Nurmagomedov's father was reported to be admitted at a hospital in Dagestan due to Pneumonia. Later it was confirmed that he is in a medically induced coma.

In mid May, The UFC lightweight champion revealed that COVID-19 has impacted his family severely which is also responsible for his father’s health condition. Khabib Nurmagomedov said that COVID-19 took away many dearest persons of him.

Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is scheduled to face Justin Gaethje in an unifier bout, shared that more than twenty of his close relatives have suffered from coronavirus and also had to stay in intensive care. Khabib said few of them lost their lives in this battle.

Khabib also revealed that the heart complication to his father was raised due to COVID-19.

In mid June, It was revealed that Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov was COVID free. Even though he was free from COVID, his health condition was still serious due to damage done by deadly COVID-19.

During late June, The Undisputed lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov revealed that his father was able to recognise him and added that his father speaks to him by using gestures. Khabib was confident that the doctor's treatment will definitely help to recover his father's health condition which didn't happen.

On the same line, Khabib Nurmagomedov said that he was training every day for his upcoming fight against Justin Gaethje for the undisputed lightweight championship. Khabib stated that his father didn't want him to skip his training due to his health

Few days back, Khabib Nurmagomedov shared a picture of his dad where Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov was slightly recovering. But, Things didn't stand for long.
