'I wouldn't be here if it wasn't Usman' Jorge Masvidal thinks he could defeat Usman on a six days short notice
Jorge 'Gamebred' Masvidal replaced Gilbert Burns for the main event of UFC 251 against Kamaru Usman for the Welterweight Championship after Durinho tested positive for COVID-19.
Jorge Masvidal thinks that Usman isn't a big threat for him even on a six days short notice. It's obvious that Gamebred is preparing for the Nigerian Nightmare for a long time but the opportunity rightfully came to get cashed in. In one of his recent talks ahead of weigh-ins, Jorge Masvidal stated that he wouldn't be volunteering if it wasn't Kamaru Usman.
It's an undeniable statement that it's a no-lose situation for Gamebred. But it's a big task to handle the pressure. Jorge Masvidal said that it's a very big task for him right now. Despite the odds, Gamebred is the favourite one running in millions of minds and he knows how the pressure is on.
Jorge Masvidal said that he is as prepared as he needs to be for Usman but, he added that it doesn't match a full training camp of six weeks or more. The BMF champion knew that he would weigh a bit up for this fight which he didn't. If you don't know the weigh-in just went live and Kamaru Usman weighed 170 lbs. Also, Jorge Masvidal weighed the same. Now, It's all about the fight.
As far as the fight, The Baddest moxxxxfuxxxx is ready to baptize Kamaru Usman. The Underdog of this fight also stated that he's here cause he has more opportunities like this in the past which was not credited. Jorge Masvidal becomes unbeatable if the pressure is on.
The BMF champion faced a similar situation in the past and he perfectly took the advantage of that. At the end of the day, it's not a math test, it's the sport which Masvidal loves, it's the thing that he has done since his childhood. But, Masvidal added that he wouldn't be on the screens if it wasn't Kamaru Usman.
The guy who knocked out Ben Askren in five seconds stated that he doesn't have faith in Kamaru Usman. Jorge Masvidal said that he would have needed more than six days if it wasn't Kamaru Usman. Jorge Masvidal thinks that the Nigerian Nightmare is a weak minded right now.
For a note, Kamaru Usman is also taking the fight on a six days short notice. The Nigerian Nightmare prepared all the way for Gilbert Burns but things turned upside down when he was pulled out of the fight. The pressure is very high on Kamaru Usman than on Masvidal.
Who do you think would win the main event of UFC 251? Can the Nigerian Nightmare retain his welterweight championship? Or, Will the welterweight division turn into a circus with a new champion?
