Former two division champion said that he didn't do it on purpose. The 5'11" DC stated that his height is the main reason for the eye poke in their first fight. Daniel Cormier explained that his low height and 16-ounce gloves makes him flick his hands around when opponents are a little bit out of range.

Eye pokes are now part and parcel of MMA and Referees do always warn fighters to keep their fists closed. Daniel Cormier's height may cause his first allegations. But, What's the reason for an eye poke in their second fight?

Daniel Cormier said that he didn't poke Miocic in the second fight. DC refused the eye poke claims and explained that it was his knuckles which jammed into Miocic's eye. Daniel Cormier openly said that's not his fingers, but his knuckles.

Eye damage has forced some fighters to leave the sport. Daniel Cormier knows how eye injury can affect a fighter's career and that's the reason for him to refuse the 'eye poke on purpose' claims.

Daniel Cormier said that he wasn't trying to poke Miocic in the eye. He added that it is f**king stupid. DC questioned why he would ever do that. DC doesn't wish to damage Miocic or any other guy. He doesn't want anyone to become blind.

Stipe Miocic will defend his UFC heavyweight championship at UFC 252 for the first time since his victory at UFC 241. Both the fighters never entered the octagon after meeting at UFC 241. Daniel Cormier is clearly aiming for revenge at the main event of UFC 252.
