There are so many best cricket captains and here is the list of top 10 best IPL captains 

1.MS Dhoni

The first place is occupied for the best captaincy is Mr. cool Dhoni. He led Chennai super kings from the start of IPL. He was there from nothing to everything. Chennai super kings have 3 seasons in their hands. This is all because of Mahi Bhai.

People say that Dhoni utilizes all of his team members efficiently. He proved it many times. At critical moments Dhoni made his team win. When Shane Watson was sent out from royal challengers Bangalore, Dhoni showed that Watson can still be that man. Under Dhoni's guidance, Watson hit for two centuries in one season. He proved the same in the case of Rayudu, Harbhajan et cetera. People say Chennai is daddy's army, but it's Dhoni's army. Under Dhoni's captaincy, Chennai won 97 matches and lost 62 matches.

Rohit Sharma guided Mumbai very well. Now Mumbai is the Toughest team in the entire IPL. With Rohit Sharma on batting and Pollard by his side, you can expect sixers rain in the ground. This young man guided the entire squad and team coordination is very perfect. With Sachin, Mahela by his side, this team won 4 IPL seasons which is a record. Last year Mumbai scored very less in finals. Though with the guidance of Rohit Sharma they won it by one run and gave plenty of happiness to Mumbai fans. Still, there are talks that two times umpires have cheated in finals and handed victory to Mumbai. Under Rohit Sharma's captaincy, Mumbai won 60 matches and lost 42 matches.

3.Gautham Gambhir

Next is captain aggressive Gautham Gambhir. Gautham Gambhir handed two victories to Kolkata knight riders under his captaincy. This world cup hero, following year, gave an awaiting victory to Kolkata knight riders. And led Kolkata to the playoffs many times. Gambhir has played many matches and guided the young Kolkata team which is now under captaincy of Dinesh Kartik. He also acted as captain for Delhi Daredevils. He acted as captain for 104 matches in which 60 were won, 40 were lost. Currently, Delhi is going on by Shreyas Iyer.

4: Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar led as captain for Mumbai Indians during 2008-11. Later, he became a chief coach of Mumbai. Mumbai didn't win any IPL seasons under Sachin's captaincy but the team was very dominant. Mumbai won champion T20 league in 2011 to show gratitude to Sachin in his retiring year. Under Sachin's captaincy, Mumbai won 31 matches and lost 20 matches.

5.Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli made the next position. Under Virat's captaincy, we can see miracles. Virat Kohli set records in the ground. Whether it may be the highest score or the lowest score, Virat Kohli will make it. From 2011, Virat is leading Royal challengers Bangalore and from that season we are listening to the " This is the cup is ours" mantra from Bangalore fans but the wish is not fulfilled. Virat Kohli is used for memes, even with the Toughest players in his team he couldn't make it to finals. Let's keep this aside because he made 49 matches and left 55 matches in his captaincy.

6. Shreyas Iyer

This spot is made for the young one. He is Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas Iyer is the new face of Indian cricket. This 25 years old young man plays for the Indian national cricket team and has his notable performance in the Indian premier league (IPL). He leads Delhi Capitals in IPL. When Delhi Daredevils were in tough situations, Shreyas changed the fate of DC. For the first time in seven years, they entered the playoffs in 20the 19 by the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer. Under his captaincy, Delhi won 13 matches and lost 10 matches.

7. Kane Williamson

Next is Kane Williamson. This New Zealand run-machine has successfully led sun risers Hyderabad in the year 2018. Rumors say that if he didn't go in 2019, then Sunrisers would have led the season. Under his captaincy sunrises won 14 matches and lost 12 matches. He is very friendly in the ground and can be seen advising even opponents in the ground.



8. George Bailey

Last, but one team in IPL is Kings Eleven Punjab. No one changed the game of Punjab except Maxwell and George Bailey. In the year 2014, Bailey led Punjab and made it to finals and Lost to Kolkata. It's the first and last time since we saw this team in the finals. Bailey had nice coordination with teammates so he made it up to this. Under his captaincy, Punjab won 16 matches and lost 19 matches.

9. Shayne Warne

Shayne Warne is also a great captain in IPL. He led the Rajasthan Royals during 2008-11. In the first season, Rajasthan won the finals under Watson's captaincy and Warne's captaincy. Under Warne's captaincy, Rajasthan won 30 matches and lost 26 matches.

10. Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina is also one of the greatest captains in IPL history. He was the captain of Chennai when Dhoni couldn't make it in some matches. Suresh Raina played most of the matches in the ipl and scored the most runs. He also successfully led debuting Gujarat lions. Under his captaincy, consolidated, they won 16 matches and lost 16 matches. In 2017Gujaratt lions won the fair play award.
